Sao Paulo, Brazil – Brazil will play a World Cup qualifying game in Sao Paolo against a Ukrainian team who is playing in the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Brazil is the first country to be invited to the Confederations in Sao Pablo and will be the first to face the Ukrainians in Sao Paulo, which has hosted the Confederates since 2006.

Brazil has qualified for the tournament since 2010.

Brazil, a World Bank member and host nation, beat Uruguay in the last round of the competition last month, drawing 1-1 with Ukraine in a quarterfinal match.

Ukraine is in the Confederacion Cup for the first time since it hosted the tournament in 1998.

The Ukrainian squad is coached by former FIFA president Sepp Blatter and will face former Ukraine national coach Victor Shishchenko.

Ukraine was eliminated in the quarterfinal stage of the 2010 Confederations when the Brazilians beat Argentina 2-1.
