Serena William, a two-time world number one and a two time French Open champion, will meet Caroline Wozniacki in a women’s world cup match at Wimbledon on Monday.

Wozniakis two-year title reign has come to an end.

William will move on to the next generation of women’s tennis stars, as she enters the second year of her career, with a first-round bye to Wimbledon.

The 27-year-old will face reigning champion Caroline Woss in the semifinals, and then win the title on Tuesday against Serena, who will have been at the top of the rankings for nearly a year.

Worcesters women’s team has never won a major, but Williams is the only player in history to have six Grand Slam singles titles.

Wojciech Szczesny, the team’s best player, is also coming off back-to-back singles titles, and he and William will face off for the first time in the women’s final on Sunday.

Williams and Woznik will play the first game of the semifinal, with the winner taking the title in the final.
