The Disney World Resort is looking to become the first resort to host a world cup in 2018.
Disney announced the World Cup of Hockey will be held in the resort’s new “World of Color” area in 2019.
The event will feature seven NHL teams, including the Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Ottawa Senators.
Disney has announced a new partnership with the NHL, which is hosting the 2018 All-Star Game.
The NHL will play host to the 2019 All-Stars Game in Chicago, which will take place March 3-5.
Disney also plans to add a “World Cup of Sports” experience to the resort in 2020.
The resort will be the home of the 2019 World Cup, which takes place on Feb. 13-15 in Montreal.
Disney World will host the 2019 U.S. Women’s World Cup on Feb.-March 17, 2020.
